Spring Break was amazing. I'm so blessed to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and have the opportunity to watch General Conference (if you're interested in what General Conference is...check this out)! It was SO good and I feel so spiritually uplifted since watching and listening to the prophets & apostles called of God that are on this earth today.
As you may or may not know, I was asked to be the Head Editor of Provo High School's yearbook, The Provost, this year. I'm so grateful for the opportunity and I've loved getting to do it (even with the stress that comes along with it). Today is the FINAL deadline for the entire yearbook...so I'm actually at the school right now waiting for the Index to be finished downloading so that I can then add all the files to the layouts I need to, then I will be able to upload the layouts to the server (don't fret if that doesn't mean anything to you...it's just a really long, strenuous process).
I keep thinking about how truly blessed I am. I'm blessed to be the Head Editor as a Sophomore, I'm blessed to have the amazing family that I have, I'm blessed to have wonderful friends that help me keep high standards, I'm blessed to attend a high school that I love, I'm blessed to have teachers that inspire and uplift me each and every day, I'm blessed to live in this beautiful city in this stupendous world.

Tests.
Book reports.
Projects.
Yearbook deadlines.
All I can say is...this Spring Break is much needed!
Today after school my dad, Campbell, and I started our journey towards San Francisco! My mom and Mckay are in Seattle for Choir Tour., so they'll meet us there on Monday. I haven't been on a real road trip for awhile, and I have missed it! I've loved getting to spend time with my dad--just laughing and talking and singing along to random songs that come on. The sunset tonight has been beautiful to watch (even through a dirty windshield)!

This year's youth theme comes from Moroni 10:32. It says, "Come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness," and I LOVE it!! The video that my church put out to introduce the new theme is amazing. Watch it here:
I just love the message that it teaches: No matter what we are struggling with, there is always hope if we come unto Christ.

I really do have *so many* things to be grateful for...I couldn't even begin to count. In my stocking, I got this little, adorable, mint green notebook that says, "Keep calm and carry on." (I know what you're thinking...how could it get any better than that?! ...well...it does.) Thanks to my wonderful brother-in-law, McKay, I got an idea. In this adorable little book of mine I am going to make a list of random (*By the way: there is a boy in my Health class who's name is 'Random.' How cool is that?!*) , every day things that I ♥love♥ ...pretty fantastic. Creating this list really has just let me enjoy the little things in life even more. Iiiin case you're curious...here are some items on my list:
-hot cocoa
-bubbles
-sunshine
-using a brand new dry erase marker
-wearing bows
-NYC
-throwing food and actually catching it in my mouth
-ice cold lemonade
-freshly vacuumed carpet
-corny jokes
-pink highlighters
-Dr. Seuss stories
-countdowns
-smiling at random people in the hallways
-starry nights
-licking the spoon
-Dixon Ticonderoga pencils
-waterfalls
-smell of vanilla
-roller coasters
-the beach
-street lamps
-rainy days
-getting butterflies
-tin lunch boxes
-receiving flowers
-salsa & cream cheese
-making babies smile
-catching up with old friends...
(a little random insight on Hadley Bea)
This new semester I am enrolled in a few new classes...and the one I'm most excited about is Health! Ever since my 7th grade health class I've loved learning about what makes our bodies tick. It's fascinating to me! So far this semester, though, we've been talking about Optimism and how a positive outlook on life can change everything. It's seriously amazing. I can already tell the things I learn in that class I will take with me for the rest of my life. Loooove it!

6 days and counting.
I don't think the fact that Christmas is less than a week has actually hit me yet. I don't know what it is, but even though I've been jamming out to Christmas music and have had a countdown as my banner on my phone since October, it just doesn't feel like Christmas! ...something is seriously wrong.
I really do love Christmas time, though. Christmas lights, hot cocoa while bundled up, Christmas music, nativities everywhere, watching snowflakes fall to the ground (while i'm inside...warm), getting to see family I haven't seen in way too long, caroling, and just the overall good feeling everyone gets when Christmas comes around.
I feel like Christmas time is a time for everyone to join together and serve. At my high school, we had a canned food drive and we raised over 40,000 items for the Food & Care Coalition in our valley! Amazing what high schoolers can work together to achieve. For a young women activity in my church we helped make humanitarian kits to send over to different countries in Africa. As a member of the National Honors Society I was able to go over with a group of other students and sing Christmas Carols at the hospital across the street from our school. For a combined young men & young women activity in my church we went around to different houses in our neighborhood and sang Christmas Carols to those that would appreciate it most. I love that I've been able to be a part of all these wonderful acts of service this Christmas.
